LONGCELL®
Lyocell Filament
from the nature for the nature
Lyocell filament is a continuous fiber that is less prone to fibrillation. Compared to lyocell staple, lyocell filament has higher strength, more uniform appearance and better drape. It is a good choice for applications where strength, durability and a silky feel are desired.
Lyocell staple on the other hand, is composed of shorter fibers. Fibrillation is often observed with lyocell staple due to its short length and uneven surface, making it better suited for applications where a softer and more textured feel is desired.
Classification of Textile Fibers
Lyocell is a type of man-made fiber that is classified into three categories: regenerated fibers, semi-synthetic fibers, and synthetic fibers. It belongs to the group of regenerated fibers, along with cupro and viscose fibers.
