About the company
Debut and Growth
Longcell®, the first Chinese brand for lyocell filaments, made its global debut at the Yarn Expo Fall 2017. This milestone immediately attracted great attention from the entire textile industry and marked the launch of the first Chinese lyocell filament brand. It was achieved by the "Nufiber Tech" R&D team, established in 2010, which enabled independent design and development of manufacturing processes and equipment - an unprecedented breakthrough in the domestic industry - by overcoming technological issues and barriers through ten years of unremitting and persistent efforts. With the above history behind its birth, Longcell® was destined to be exceptional.
Exceptional identity was just the beginning, and sustained efforts must be made for future metamorphosis. Four years have passed since its debut, and we might wonder what has happened to it. From its promotional efforts and market popularity, we can see that the brand, which received a lot of attention, has decided to keep a low profile. In fact, this is very beneficial for the healthy growth of Longcell®, which is just a few miles away from being born.
Challenges Ahead
As an emerging fiber in the market, Longcell® has many opportunities but also faces serious challenges. Impeccable quality and good coordination with downstream applications are critical and essential, and are prerequisites for its sustainable development. To this end, since the debut of Longcell®, its R&D team has made sustained efforts to improve product quality and has completed three product updates. The brand has also established partnerships with downstream development companies. Thus, the active involvement of multiple parties led to the increasing maturity of the applied technologies of Longcell®, laying a solid foundation for subsequent marketing efforts.
2020 was a year of dramatic change. In the face of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the textile industry made utmost efforts to counter its tremendous impact and ensure the supply of key anti-pandemic materials. It steadily resumed operations and met national needs for pandemic control and economic and social development based on its strong industry and supply chains. This year, plagued by the COVID-19 pandemic, was also the tenth year since the establishment of Longcell®, which would open a new chapter and await metamorphosis and new breakthroughs.
